Rework – 1 Page and I’m Sold.
I love reading. I don’t nearly have the time I used to but I’m fighting for it.
What has happened as a result is a very select reading schedule and I’ve become super-selective with what I’m actually going to be reading.
Rework, by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson (the Founders of 37Signals) had me literally after 1 page.
Not sure if Chris did this on purpose but when I found the book on my desk the cover had page 38 bookmarked; I read it and was hooked:
We all have that one friend who says, “I had the idea for eBay. If only I had acted on it, I’d be a billionaire!” that logic is pathetic and delusional. Having the idea for eBay has nothing to do with actually creating eBay. What you do is what matters, not what you think or say or plan.
