Introversion Online

Technology, Theology

Mashable had an interesting article suggesting the irony that would exist if some of the biggest players in the social networking and media space were, in fact, introverts.

I’d say that for the techno-evangelicals it would be more than ironic; it’d be tragic.

But I’d also have to clarify that I am totally down with God creating us all unique, different and special.  I would consider myself introverted (although a recent personality test said I’m not…) but in the web space I find myself definitely moving toward the extroverted arena.

And I believe that’s the beauty of the online space for evangelicals: The web offers us a place to be a little more open with our thoughts (with wisdom of course).

So what I have postulated is that for believers who love web technology, let’s be extroverted in its use.  Let’s go out there and expand the kingdom through it and plant seeds where applicable.

It would be tragic if we used the online space only for ourselves… and not for the Glory of God.
