3,000 Comments Contest

winner

We’re coming close (not too close) to the 3,000th comment here on Human3rror.com.

And, unlike the last spam-fest for the 2,000th comment contest, there is 1 rule: If you spam, you are disqualified.

And, I’m not telling you how many comments we’re at either. That was a big mistake last time too.

(See, I’m learning new things all the time…!)

Same deal as the last one: Commenter #2,999, #3,000, and #3,001 will all recieve a brand spanking new copy of the Thesis Theme.

Cool!

Congrats on the comments. Best of luck to the winner(s)!

  2. Ancoti February 15, 2009 at 8:40 PM #

Isn't it amazing how much we learn from our past experiences? Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

  3. Amanda_Sims February 15, 2009 at 8:45 PM #

Cool! If I win, I will definitely finally buy my own domain. Seriously.

  4. Adam Mashni February 15, 2009 at 9:02 PM #

great idea…one day when I have that many comments on my blog I shall do the same (or create something new, either way it'll be fun)

  5. Russ Hutto February 15, 2009 at 9:08 PM #

Nice. I just went over 1000 comments over at my .com. Kind of neat how those numbers just seem to sneak up on you!

  6. Gunnard February 15, 2009 at 9:09 PM #

    3,000 is a milestone!

  7. Jeff Brown February 15, 2009 at 9:11 PM #

Found your blog from following @michaelhyatt on Twitter. Looking forward to more of what you have to say.

  8. Nate Tallman February 15, 2009 at 9:29 PM #

So are you reaching 3000 with the other spam comments still in the db or are all 3000 actually legit?

  9. human3rror February 15, 2009 at 4:32 PM #

    All of them are legit.

  10. human3rror February 15, 2009 at 4:32 PM #

I'm so far from any major milestone, but I know the Thesis theme would help :) Though right at this very instant, with my blog lost in a domain glitch (v.weird), nothing but waiting will bring it back. So I'll just wait…for that notification of the Thesis theme to come my way :)

  19. Mark February 16, 2009 at 6:17 AM #

good luck with 3000 who knows i may win :) my site is at 1300 so still gotta long way to go before i have a contest!

  20. Phillip Gibb February 16, 2009 at 6:30 AM #

3000? very cool. I am throwing a party over at Ron's house when I hit 200, lol

If I win then I will definitely host my own :-)

  21. Ron_Tuffin February 16, 2009 at 7:09 AM #

At about the same time as I hit 90 comments?

  22. Phillip Gibb February 16, 2009 at 7:20 AM #

lol, we should comment more on each others blogs!!

hey John, is it spam if we have a two way conversation throughout the day?
    ;-)

  23. Aaron February 16, 2009 at 3:30 PM #

…and we're off to the races!

(Good thing we'll get there twice as fast since you reply to all your comments!) :P

  24. human3rror February 16, 2009 at 12:07 PM #

    ;) who said i was counting mine…?

    • Aaron February 16, 2009 at 5:50 PM #

I apologize; That was assuming you didn't know how to tell the difference. :P

  25. theschu February 16, 2009 at 5:19 PM #

I love that you've started this contest again (and learned from your mistakes ;) ). I look forward to seeing who wins.

  26. Marcus Hackler February 16, 2009 at 6:11 PM #

Just checked the theme – pretty amazing. I may just have to get it anyway if I don't win :)

  27. Daniel_Berman February 16, 2009 at 9:13 PM #

Did you know this blog has made it on to http://christianity.alltop.com?

And yes the thesis theme is cool, if I actually had the time to think in a coherent fashion for several weeks to actually blog something worthwhile….. Congratulations to the winners!

    • human3rror February 16, 2009 at 10:25 PM #

Hmmmmm didn't know that…! Not sure that makes me super special…

    Are we there yet?

how close are we to the 3000 comments, or have we superseded that?

  31. Amanda_Sims February 17, 2009 at 5:22 PM #

Ok so I'm commenting. Again. Because I want to win something. It would make my day!

  32. John February 17, 2009 at 6:44 PM #

My entry into this comment festivus.

  33. johnwyp February 17, 2009 at 6:45 PM #

Hmmm…commented, but it didn't post. Very strange. Trying again.

  34. Phillip Gibb February 18, 2009 at 1:21 PM #

Sorry Amanda_Sims, I would rather win, no wait there are three winners right, oh ok then you can win too.
    :-)

So do you have to delete much spam in this 3000 race? As apposed to the 100000 spam comments that are automatically caught?

  35. human3rror February 18, 2009 at 3:54 PM #

Akismet is my homeboi. no deleting necessary. 0% false positives.

  36. Phillip Gibb February 19, 2009 at 12:31 PM #

man alive you gotta be close.

You are giving away 3 copies of the Thesis Theme, I am interested to know what other themes that you have have put together.
    :-)

  37. human3rror February 19, 2009 at 7:38 AM #

I have 6 themes scheduled for release this year.

  38. Phillip Gibb February 19, 2009 at 12:46 PM #

Nice, can't wait to see them – considering that I will ultimately break free from the shackles of being WP.com hosted.

    in couple months :-)

  39. human3rror February 19, 2009 at 1:08 PM #

perhaps… check out this new blog post coming out in a sec…

  40. Vajaah February 20, 2009 at 2:26 AM #

I have a passion for media and ministry, especially the benefits of web 2.0 for connection with youth and young adults. The problem is that I am not an amazing designer or an apt developer like you! Its great to see your site and thank you for the tips :-D Need a protege?

  41. human3rror February 20, 2009 at 2:56 AM #

Looks like you've got some skill~! ;) we should hang out!

  42. Phillip Gibb February 20, 2009 at 6:50 AM #

10 more comments on my blog and I reach 200, then I am giving away the link to the new Vigilante Theme from WP,
no, wait, that's public in any case
    darn it – I tried.

Out of interest, you had the 2000 contest at the beginning of Jan? almost 2 months? Almost 500 comments a month – nice.

    Phill(synapticlight) ;-)

  43. human3rror February 20, 2009 at 11:14 AM #

;) huh. i forgot when i first had the 2g's…

  44. Ancoti February 20, 2009 at 12:11 PM #

As long as those you love also love your insanity.

  45. human3rror February 20, 2009 at 12:18 PM #

i dunno if they do, that's th eproblem!

  46. Ancoti February 20, 2009 at 12:21 PM #

Insanity is not as much fun if not shared with and by those nearest you.

  47. human3rror February 20, 2009 at 12:52 PM #

    hehe. true.

  48. theschu February 21, 2009 at 6:06 PM #

I totally forgot about the contest for a while there. I'm back to cast another ticket in the pot :)

  49. Phillip Gibb February 21, 2009 at 6:43 PM #

    throwing in the pot again:

I am liking the simpl3 theme but I am sure the Thesis one kicks it's ass (can I say that here?)

    • human3rror February 21, 2009 at 4:15 PM #

;) the contest is over. i'm going to have to blog bout the winners…

  50. human3rror February 21, 2009 at 4:16 PM #
