A Sneak Peek: Standard Theme Release Coming Soon!

Every day I get even more excited about this new WordPress Theme that I’ll be releasing.

Seriously. It’s going to be awesome, but probably not in the ways that you’ve thought (or that most people would think). I’ll be honest; it’s not “pretty” and would place last in a design contest (seriously)  but it’s got the engine of a Ferrari.

It is, without question, the best coded theme that I’ve ever created. Can you say beautifully-semantic 3 times fast?

In fact, that’s going to be one of the value propositions for this particular theme. I’ve spent hours on making it the best coded WordPress Theme you’ll ever install and out-of-the-box ready to be eaten alive by Google/Yahoo/Bing crawl bots in terms of SEO, and that’s just scratching the surface.

If you’re even remotely in the market for a new professional blog theme for WordPress then stay tuned for this one.

In addition, we’re going to create an amazing community around this theme for advanced development, styling, and more. I’m actually more excited about this than most other things.

Stay tuned: StandardTheme.com.

We’re actually close enough for people to Alpha-Test it. If you’re interested in getting an almost-ready production copy of the theme, drop a comment below…!

I'm actually ready to move to wordpress. I'm looking for a simple design. Curious what you mean by "not pretty".

I'm very interested in seeing this (and I'm a Drupal deviser/designer/developer guy).

Are you planning on selling it?

    I'm looking forward to it.

That looks great, could I get a copy just to alpha test?

Is the idea that a "chrome" of design would be placed on top of it?

Sounds like this theme would not be for a noob? I was sitting here working on getting my personal blog redone. I'd love to spend some time (I was going to anyway this week) on checking it out.

    For Sale?

  7. human3rror January 6, 2010 at 5:03 AM #

it's a pretty plain theme. the idea behind it is to create a community of people around the theme that'll help each other add the \”design\” touch to it. it will look actually pretty nice out of the box, but it won't win any design contests.

the idea was to create the most amazing theme in terms of code and development… people can then style on top of it.

  8. human3rror January 6, 2010 at 5:03 AM #

    sweet. stay tuned.

  9. human3rror January 6, 2010 at 5:03 AM #

    yes, it'll be for sale.

Hey I’d love to help you out with alpha testing. It sounds amazing.

  15. human3rror January 6, 2010 at 5:07 AM #

word up. it won't have a carousel out of the box, so, that might stop you.

  16. katdish January 6, 2010 at 5:09 AM #

That actually sounds like exactly what I've been looking for. I have design themes in my head, but can't seem to find a template that's close to where I want it.

hmmm, I am looking out for a theme for my family blog (need to rename from Son of Mine to something else when my daughter is born) – so maybe this theme is a bit overkill.
but I would love to test it out

I would be glad to test if you need a non-coding person to try to see if they can break it. : )
