JournalSpace.com, now completely defunct and looking to sell it’s property rights, branding, etc (and perhaps open sourcing the platform) says it was “sabotage”.

Whatever the case may be, bloggers world wide are feeling the pain.  Losing only a few entries that I’ve made historically on this (and a few other blogs) would really, really, really suck.

So, if you’re on a shared hosting environment and not servicing your own spruced up and pimped out WordPress where you can control the keys to your own backup and content… you’d better make that a resolution of 2009.

One thing that I’ve done on this new redesign of my blog, though, has reduced the number of “social network” submissions from about 1,000,000 to 3… so far.

I’m going to take a look statistically at who has been submitting stuff and add the appropriate additional social networks at a time.

For now, you can rock Digg, Delicious, and StumbleUpon.

I love this type of stuff.  I love sitting in a room with highly intelligent people (typically much smarter and passionate than myself) and just doing the storm-o-brain with them.

I realized the other day that I don’t actually have my own whiteboard in my little place in the world.

I need one.  I want a cool one.  Is that too much to ask?  Are there cool ones out there…?  Or other alternatives?

A few days ago @loswhit dropped a hilarious tweet about one Delta’s flight attendant and fake leather jackets…  He had a TwitPic of the comparison seen here.  I decided to take a full vid.

So, this one’s for you Mr. Ragamuffinsoul.  The shoutout is at the very end (video after the jump).

And the reason I’m sad is a tad bit surprising to me, and it’s really got me thinking.

See, I liked Gordon Ramsay.  I suppose I still do, but he’s on the “bloody” edge for me now that I’ve heard the news about his affair.

But should I be shocked?

I’m actually more shocked that I actually care.  The guy was my favorite TV celebrity.  I really enjoyed his shows Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

I mean, I really liked the guy.  I found his humor refreshing, his shows tasteful (pun intended), and it was, quite simply, fresh and entertaining.

And the guy was known as a family man.  The guy won “Celebrity Father of the Year” in 2006 and the following year his family, the Ramsay’s, won “Celebrity Famly of the Year.”

He’s got a fierce anti-drug stance (since his brother is an addict) and has done some crazy-good charity work.

So what the “hell” happened?  Some more ponderances after the jump.

Well, it appeared that he fell down the rabbit hole and got stupified.  And I’m seriously disappointed.  This is probably the closest I’ve ever felt to being “let down” by someone that I have no relationship with whatsoever and is a freaking TV icon and celebrity.

And that’s the scariest thing.

Did I let my guard down?  Did I actually get hooked to a character and silver-screen personality so that when I realized he was human, just like me, that I’d take the dip emotionally when he went morally south?

I’m glad that his wife is standing by him strong, but it may just be as much filthy PR as he’s produced in the last 7 years of the affair.

God, I HATE sin.  It just ruins everything.

Yes ladies and gents… it’s the food pyramid.

I’ve been thinking a lot about food recently because of a number of things… more thoughts after the jump.

The Food List:

1. I’m not in the greatest shape.  In fact, I completely stopped working out after I got married 3 years-and-some-change ago…  I’ve started up again… but… *ugh*.  Working on that…
2. Thanksgiving is coming up.  Enough said, right?
3. I’m headed to Korea soon.  It is a proven fact that when you travel to korea you get fat.  Not because the food is all fatty but because of the sheer volume of carbon-based material that you consume because of it’s “sheer awesomeness” (Kung Fu Panda).  I remember back in college when friends would go back to Korea for the summer or for winter break… they grabbed a freshman-15 so fast that it would make your head spin.  The food is just that good (and cheap)!
4. In addition to the Korea thing… I’m trying to save a little more money here and there to prepare for the extra expenses.  If you’d like to read more about this journey, go here and help support me…!
5. I read this wickedly cool article about how a few were challenged to live off of $25 bucks a week.  But it wasn’t for kicks: $25 bucks is what people in the state Illinois (where the challenge was held) get from food stamps.  Wow.  In this time of saving (and mass spending) it made me wonder about how others are really coping with the absolute essentials.

A PETA intern, she had had enough with schools carelessly carving up animals all in the name of science, learning, and academia.

Although I’m not sure what to think about it, there are obviously a lot of “thoughts” about it, ranging from “you go girl!” esque praises to the… well, things like this:

*sigh* - Would I be as supportive of Roenne if she decided to do something like this?  I pray that I can be spared this type of decision in the future…

I’ve never been that political.  It’s either because I’m too tired of the mudslinging, too ignorant of the major political platforms, too disconnected from either candidate because I do not like either, or simply too busy.

This year, though, has been different.  People extremely close to me have been the most vocal, the most passionate, and the most educated that they have ever been, and it’s forced me to dig a little deeper, do some research, take a stance, and pray to God that our country is not as retarded ignorant stupid blind dumb uneducated uncaring as me.

I guess I’m just being honest with myself… that I need to do this.  Maybe it’s because I have a child now and I really care about the next 4 years.  Maybe I’ve grown up a bit, matured a little more.

Who knows.  But whatever your choice, go vote.  Check this cool video after the break (strong language by famous people is used, so just FYI).
