For the Love of the Game

There is no game like Soccer, or the real Futbol as we call it. The game is unlike anything else, and the experience of the “immaculate strike” makes me literally weep like a baby.

Thrilling. Passion defined.

At times it makes me wonder how God has created us with the ability to behold such beauty and how it stirs bone-deep emotion out of us. I don’t weep nearly as much for the beauty of the Gospel as I do when I see another man kick a ball on some grass.

It’s all about perspective.

H:I cry at nearly anything that even might have the possibility of being a sporting event.Like ESPN's "Beyond the Glory" story of Walter Payton, I'm toast. And then there's a soccer movie called "Victory," toast again.
I love soccer my kids play. I've coached all their teams at one point or another.

Well, it's okay, but it's nothing like hockey!
