I’ve recently been awarded the opportunity to be a part of a select group of bloggers in the 9Rules Network!

Wow. I didn’t think it was ever going to happen.

I first tried being a part of the group back in 2005. Every year since then I was kindly denied entrance. And it’s not that my stuff wasn’t good, it just didn’t meet their requirements for entrance.

… Or maybe it really did suck.

Huh.

No shame in it. No bitterness. And it didn’t really change my perspective on anything.

But now I’m in and I’m pretty excited. Being a part of a “select” group of anything is always exciting and the benefits can be extremely rewarding.

For example, being a part of the 9Rules Network allows me to get a significant discount on hosting through MediaTemple, my service provider. When I mean “significant” I mean an opportunity for 100% discount.

That translates to free.

Considering that I spend more money per month on my hosting services than most bloggers spend per year, this is really good news. Yeah. Wow. That’s pretty darn cool.
