It’s Personal. Really. Then comes Community!

It’s Personal – A Former Atheist Speaks from dewde on Vimeo.

One of the neatest things about God is how He begins to build community where you are.  The folks over at NP have really helped sue and i feel at home.

In addition, I’ve love the fact that I’ve gotten to know even more people through my blog here, twitter, etc…!  The above is a video from a new connection who shares his journey from an atheist to christ-follower!

Loving my new (and expanding) community her in the diiiiiiiiiirty south.  w00t.

You nailed it John. I can’t imagine anyone finding Jesus in a mega church outside the context of community. I know I didn’t.

The kids at North Point refer to the Sunday morning deal as being similar to the foyer of a home. When visitors come in of course they enter through the foyer. But the goal is not to stay in the foyer. It’s to move to the living room and eventually the kitchen. That’s how you know you’re family, when you’re hanging out in the kitchen experiencing life together. So if Sunday morning is the foyer, our weekly married couple small group is the kitchen.

Community is not just lip service at NP. I can attest to that as well.

thanks man. i really enjoyed your vid… and i’m really impressed with your personal initiative in making a testimony out of it. in fact, i forwarded it to andy himself… not as to puff him up but as a way of encouraging him by giving him an opportunity to see the fruit of the spirit through him.

the foyer, living room, kitchen idea is genius.

Uh….. I didn’t make that myself LOL. I wish I were that talented. It’s actually from the It’s Personal series. Message #2. I was one of 3 church members profiled.

All of the artistic direction, production, etc. was courtesy of Brad Bretz (http://http://motionhouse.wordpress.com) and his amazing team at NPCC.

Time to send a follow-up email LOL. Tell Andy I said, “Sup dude.”
