OMG. Seriously? …

violation1

Apparently I am a “breaker” of the Covenant. I do not follow the rules and regulations set forth by the home owners association.

What’s whack is that we never got the first warning. And seriously, my daughter’s little plastic bike is sitting in front of our door on the 2nd floor. It’s not even visible from the ground.

violation2

… *sigh*… I know it was you… it was the old british woman who keeps telling me that I’m a bad parent if I don’t teach my daughter Korean.

Ugh. It’s been one of those days…

That reminds me of one of my favorite X-Files episodes, where Mulder and Scully go undercover as a married couple in a covenanted subdivision to find who's been killing residents. The covenant had very stringent restrictions, and those who didn't follow them ended up dead.

How big is the bike in question? Sounds that it must be a big as the building.

Have you thought of inviting the complainer to? maybe they'll buy into the forgiveness thing and drop the, umm, rediculous complaint.

    lol

I don't know you, and I'm not quite sure how I found this blog, but this reminds me of my HOA. My husband and I have been fined multiple times. We were fined for the type of curtains we have in our front window. The HOA is going for a certain…look in the community, of which our curtains clearly didn't belong. We were also fined for leaving a chair on our front porch area. The crazy part about that was our front porch is enclosed and so you couldn't see it unless you were actually walking down the pathway coming up to our front door. We washed our car and shampooed the floor mats and left them in our carport area to dry and we were warned about that. We had a little inflatable pool for the kids on our patio and we warned that, that was a violation.

The HOA, I do believe, is of the devil.

…! well, glad you found me! great stories, pretty encouraging here. it's hard to deal with the “HOA” when you're not sure if it's a mass of people who are out to get you or just 1 person. we will now begin stepping on eggshells…bleh…
