(I own two, got bunches of seat time between both of them and seen my share of pavement up close and personal.)

As someone previously suggested — consider taking an MSF (motorcycle safety foundatioin) course. The one they offer at the Honda plant in Alpharetta is a good place to start.

i was test-driving my brother in laws honda 750 Enduro and laid it down on the pavement about 15 years ago. I've rode since then, but not on pavement.

Wow! That color green is my favorite. I had a wreck about 8 months ago and still have a limp. I will probably not be climbing back up on a bike either. The bike barely got hurt but I got a rod and 5 pins to put my leg back together from the tib+fib compound break. I've learned the hard way that there are 2 kinds of motorcycle riders in the world: those who have wrecked and those who will. Glad you're okay!
