Seminary Paper Fail

Seminary. It’s awesome. But the fact is that it’s still “school” (just a harder, more spiritual, a lot more work, etc).

Sometimes the Internet just looks so much more fun.

You have to look at papers as the price we must pay to sit and listen to the lectures.

Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and prove it beyond all doubt. Guess I had nothing to say.

I saw a book called "portable seminary." It was far cheaper than real seminary.

Hey, I have that book. Read a little over half of its 700+ pages!

      lol

Do what I did when I started seminary and buy a 6' giant, oversized bean bag.

I don't know that it made me more productive, but it sure was a nice place to read all those thick books written by dead people.

      PUAAHAHAHAHAH!

      done. i'm buying one now.

    • @adamrshields September 15, 2009 at 1:57 PM #

I love those. I really want one but I know my dogs will destroy it.

    • friar_don September 15, 2009 at 3:02 PM #

Dang, did you use student loans to buy it?

      • Daniel Roberts September 15, 2009 at 4:59 PM #

No way. Totally against student loans for a profession where you're pretty much guaranteed not to get the money back anytime soon. But then again, after a year, I realized it was my parent's dream and not mine after all, so I'm probably not the best person to listen to for seminary advice. Just thankful God gave me the grace to quit when I did. I'm having way more of an impact for the kingdom now, and I love what I do.

Actually though, I did grab the bag during a great sale. The cover was new, but slightly damaged, on ebay for dirt cheap. Some upholstery thread and 15 minutes made it as good as new.

The internet often times keeps me from my college work. Yes, that's right. I'm blaming the internet. It's not my fault!

Dude I don't know, but I am nearing the last subject for my masters and I am loving it. Somewhere along the way, I started to enjoy study. I sit in the front of the class, I do pre-reading and I get my assignments in 2 weeks early. I don't know when it happened because I was the same as you John for a long time…..something changed dude, I'm a nerd now.
