This theme was originally created by Armen of Freebie Themes. Released here with permission.
Some Highlights:
- Rotating Header Images [622x190 pixels, unlimited number!]
- Big plush Social Icons by Aquaticus – All of them are pre-loaded into the theme.
- 4 Squares of Advertising space.
- Widgetized Sidebar Goodness.
- Simple Typography and Image placement
- Spirit-filled Community Love.
I fixed a very simple error with the “Previous Posts” and “Next Posts” color (it was white and you couldn’t see it).
I you don’t want to overwrite your customized version, just go into your style.css file and change the following:
#main .lead a {
color: #fff;
border: none;
text-decoration: underline;
}
and change it to:
#main .lead a {
color: #000;
border: none;
text-decoration: underline;
}
There you go!
Nice! I would probibly use it if I could (I use the free hosted version of WordPress).
I like the clear clean cut lines and the focus it gives to the content.
How about some love for us .com-ers? Just kidding… But seriously. =) I am using some of those images though. Hehe.

check the theme folder and the sidebar.php file.
awesome, got that figured out…still making it work for me. Does the code you have in there for the sidebar now mess up wigets that are dragged into the sidebar? for example my twitter widget looks crazy. Could I just empty the sidebar file content and use plugins?

I can't figure out the sidebar…is there a way to change the code to keep the cool line underneath the categories and recent posts links and take them out of the twitter widget I add? For some reason it keeps adding lines in weird places underneath @replies and various links in my Twitter for Wordpress plugin. Sorry to be high maintenance.
Try adding a CSS class to control the styling of the effected elements in your Twitter plugin.

Try adding "a.twitter-link {border: 0px;}" to your style sheet.
@vajaah does it matter exactly where I put that in the style sheet?
You might also need "a.twitter-link {border:0px; display:inline;}" as well.
I don't think it should matter… use the one w/ the inline style though.

One problem: We appear to be missing the "submit" button. D'oh!
Just in case anyone else is having a problem with the submit button not showing up with this theme, here’s how I fixed it. I downloaded a submit.gif button that I think works well with this theme from here: http://bit.ly/d1ZJU9
Upload the submit.gif image to this folder in your blog: /wp-content/themes/simple-wordpress-theme/simpl3/images
Refresh the page and you should be good to go.
