Thank You Pneumonia for My New Diet for the Week

new-diet

How exciting.

My diet for the next week (at least) consists of:

  • Motrin
  • Tylenol Extra Strength
  • Prednisone, a synthetic corticosteroid drug to manage something I can’t remember…
  • Full round of Azithromycin, antibiotics
  • Full round of Cefpodoxime, another antibiotic
  • Lame crackers.
  • Lemon water.
  • More water.
  • Herbal tea.
  • More lame saltines (crackers).
  • Chicken Noodle Soup.
  • And, if I can sneak it in, some candy.

*sigh*

I’m not really allowed to be on the computer (except for watching movies since I’m laid up in bed for the next few days)… but I’m a bit ADHD when I’m on the computer so I happen to stumble upon things like emails… and blog posts… and Digg.com

Thanks for all your prayers and support! It really does make a phenomenal difference.

Cheers! I hope to end my bedridden-ness soon so I can get back to doing more fun stuff than stuffing crackers in my face.

That sucks. At least you can't control your reason for the diet. I'm eating crackers because I'm fat and trying to lose weight. :) Praying for you man.

How can you not be allowed to use the computer when laid up? It's the only thing between you and insanity, right?

This is purely anecdotal, but perhaps it may help your ailing bod.

Once, in college, I had pneumonia and had to get better before finals. So I drank 12 regular size bottles of water and two 32 oz. bottles of Gatorade in day.

I woke up the next morning completely fine. No pneumonia. No sickness. No nothing.

    FWIW!

      wow. that’s nuts.

OK – the list of meds looks like it should do the job if you actually take them – you are taking them, aren't you? Prednisone is an antiinflammatory of the first order. Inflamation is a good thing to reduce – adds lots of other probs if not kept under control.
So did you happen to notice if the xrays they took of your chest were digitally processed? NO??? I can't understand that. jk!

Keep resting, keep taking the drugs, keeping forcing the fluids, keep building the abs. Praying4u – a friend in the medical field.

I guess it'd be incredibly cruel to RT all your "Yummy Starbucks in my face!" tweets, huh? :D
