The “Drive By”

Have you ever done a “drive by”…?

You know, where you were so in love or infatuated with someone that you would literally drive-by their house and see if you could spot them?

I did.

Except, I didn’t have a car at the time – I had a bike.

So I slowly went up and down this girl’s street trying to see if she was home one summer. I’m pretty sure that I did it enough where the neighbors considered calling 911. I can only imagine the conversation:

Hello? Is this the police? … Yes. Yes. There is this strange skinny asian kid riding his beat up bicycle up and down the street. Yes. No. … … … … Yes, I’ll stay in doors.

Puaha.

Ok. I admitted it. Your turn.

    oh dear, I feel old
    ok, feeling has passed away.
I rode past a few times on my BMX both wanting to see and not wanting to see. Feeling guilty being there and knowing that I would die if I did not try.

I was over at my friends house and he wanted to drive by this girl’s house that he wasn’t even dating. In fact, you could even say that he had been stalking her!! (He did end up marrying this girl, though).

So I told him we could go anywhere but we couldn’t drive near her house. So he took the backroads and took us there anyway. As soon as I figured him out, I started to turn the car around from the passenger seat. Lucky for us we lived in the boonies and no one was on any of those streets. So after about 15 minutes of battling on the steering wheel we turned around and went back to his house.

One of the funniest days of my life.

Man what a crazy start to this morning. Great post John!
