What the Plurk…?!

There’s something pretty strange (or cool…?) about Plurk.  I started an account today because of a conversation thread that I jumped in on @ Seesmic and decided to go make an account.  Essentially, from first glance, it’s like a horizontal Twitter… but not really.

Not sure what to think about it actually.  Does the world need another twitter?  I looked for a write up @ Techcrunch and couldn’t find one (so I dropped a note to @techcrunch via twitter to let him know he’s let something fall through the cracks…)

But, since twitter’s been down so much (and extremely slow) I gave it a whirl.  Cool things like conversation threads on your timeline of life, pictures from flickr, videos from youtube… friends, ect…  the same deal.  A kind of cool “karma” tag… I know it’s supposed to motivate me to engage, but, I’m not feeling it right now…

*sigh*

Another thing to keep updated?  Ugh.
